Dublin Airport serves the republic of Ireland and is a very large international airport that provides over 18,000 car park spaces in total. These car parks are regularly patrolled by security and operate for 24 hours. For all car parks, you need to take a ticket when you enter the car park and keep it with you whilst you are away When you return you can go to the automatic pay stations and pay your parking charges before you return to your vehicle. These pay stations can be found both in the entrance to the short-term car park that you can walk into and also within the arrivals terminal. Additional services that are available to all car park passengers for a small fee include a jump-start service. In the car park atrium you can take advantage of the car key holding facilities that are available at the Greencaps left luggage area.

Should you be collecting or dropping off passengers at Dublin Airport you should use the short-term car park which is located next to the terminal building. There is a set down area on the Departures Road which allows people to unload baggage or people. It is not possible to use the arrivals road to access Dublin Airport, which was a decision made partly due to the volume of traffic that uses the airport and also in the interest of good traffic management. This means that you have to park in the short stay car park to await arrivals, rather than trying to wait outside the terminal building. Should you be in your vehicle in a banned area then you will be moved on very quickly. Should you leave your vehicle unattended then you are very likely to find it clamped.

Should you be actually going away, then you should use the long term car park, which is located along the east parameter of the airport. To find it you should follow the signposts for long term parking. Once you have parked and noted the zone where your car is parked. Remember that you need to pay for your parking before you get back to your car at the entrance to the short term car park or in the terminal, so you need to carry your ticket with you throughout your trip. There is a shuttle bus which will take you to the terminal from the car park when you depart and back to the car park from the terminal when you arrive. You must pay for your ticket before you take this bus back. Furthermore, you need to allow 40 minutes from arriving to the car park to getting to the check-in desk.
